Speaking of Starbucks

So I got some oatmeal (as you can see from my previous entry) and it came in a Starbucks bag.  They always have clever little sayings on them, so I figured I'd share.

"You're holding something special.  A tasty treat.  A thoughtful gift.  All inside a handy carrier.  Which becomes a lunch bag.  A puppet.  A keep-it-new book cover.  A garden tool holder.   A "bring a few CDs over for dinner" carrier.  Unwrapped, it's a sketch pad.  With handles.  So reuse it.  Reincarnate it.  Re-imagine it.  And when it's served its every purpose, recycle it."

I love to recycle.  I love to reuse.  Mike hates it (the reusing part, not the recycling part, he recycles).  I will save containers from sour cream, yogurt, whatever I can, so I can put leftovers in them.  He hates it.  So, thus, I do not do it anymore.  Unless I can sneak it in.  He's really all about NO CLUTTER.  I understand this, I really do, especially living with his mom.... ;) but there are some things that I would like to do more of.

When we have kids (he says one, I say 2, we're still working on that one....) I would LOVE to cloth diaper.  He's not so keen on it.  Why do I want to do this?  To save the world, of course!  But honestly, because I don't like the idea of all the disposable diapers in land fills (there are other reasons, but that's my main one.).  I want to do my part, how little or big it may be.  We have time to discuss this, and I think he might be seeing it a little more my way.  I can put it in "guy" terms for him, "babe, if we CD, we can save a lot of money, and you can buy more VWs!" - I think it may give me the upperhand, in the long run.  ;)

Starbucks Perfect Oatmeal

Oatmeal - 3pp
Brown Sugar - 1pp
Fruit - 3pp
Nuts - 3pp

I think I'll just add the brown sugar, and save the nuts and fruit for little snacks before I go home for lunch. :)

Oh - Green Tea - no classic syrup, 4 sweet and lows - 0pp! :)

Not too shabby.

Mobile

Just checking out how posting from my phone works.

And my niece is the cutest ever. :)

Great recipe.

This is my favorite recipe for a quick (well, set it and forget it, crock pot) meal.  You start it in the morning and it's ready by dinner time.  So good!

Here goes nothing.

I've been thinking for a while, I know, dangerous, but I"ve been thinking of starting a blog.

Let's see if I have anything interesting to say.

Basically I'll write about a journey I've started many times.  Weight Loss.  *cringe*  Along with many other things, I'm sure.

Weight loss is such a huge part of my life, not only to get healthy, but to actually fit into my wedding dress.  Yeah.  I know I know.  It fits, but it doesn't fit how I want and need it to.  September is coming fast, so I need to get on it.

I've started Weight Watchers 3 times now.  Today is my 4th.  Well, I never actually "quit" from the 3rd time, I just haven't really cared to write anything or worry about what I was putting into my face.  Bad, I know this.

So, today is a new day, and today is the day I get the ball rolling, for me and my wedding dress!
